211 is now available throughout the entire province of Ontario.

As of December 31, 2011 you can dial 211 anywhere in the province and receive the same professional service that you’ve come to expect from 211. This service is provided by 7 service providers who are responsible for specific areas throughout Ontario. These service providers work to ensure that you receive accurate, professional and complete information whether you are calling 211 from home or while travelling anywhere in Ontario. Information Niagara is the service provider that covers the area of Central South.

The 211 Central South area includes:

• Niagara Region
• Hamilton
• Brantford / Brant County
• Haldimand / Norfolk Counties
• Waterloo County
• Guelph / Wellington County
• Halton

Any call placed to 211 from these areas are all handled through the Information Niagara offices in St. Catharines.  Trained Information & Referral Specialists respond to every call and use databases of community information to provide callers with teh informationthat they need.
