Jean Stewart – President

Jean enjoyed a long and varied career with the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) until her retirement in 2006.  Jean worked in several of MTO’s program areas in both field and head office functions, the last 12 years of her career in Corporate Services Division Human Resources Branch.  During her 35 years with MTO she lived and worked in a number of MTO’s geographical locations, namely Bancroft, Ottawa, Burlington, Kingston, Toronto and then on to St Catharines in 1996 when MTO moved its Head Office to the Region.
Jean has been involved in volunteer work for many years  During the 15 years prior to retirement, efforts were mostly focused in areas of fundraising on a one off basis e.g. Women’s Shelters. During her retirement Jean has volunteered for numerous non-profit social service agencies in the region by either doing short term human resources project work and/or sitting on Boards; she also currently sits on the Board of Directors for Information Niagara and is a member of Rotary South Club

Fred Cipryk – Vice President

Fred Cipryk is currently the Clinical Manager of the Juravinski Hospital Emergency Department.  Just prior Mr. Cipryk worked at the systems level of health care as the Emergency Services Coordinator with the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant Local Health Integration Network (HNHB LHIN). Mr. Cipryk has been a Board member of Information Niagara since January 2012 and is the current Vice President.  He is a member of the Quality Assurance/Risk Management Committee. Mr. Cipryk holds a MHSc Health Administration from University of Toronto and a BScN from McMaster University. He is also a member of the Canadian College of Health Leaders and a Certified Health Executive (CHE).

Melissa Austin

Melissa Austin is a Supervisor with the Niagara Region Community Services Department and is a lifelong resident of the Niagara Region. She plays a leadership role in the division Staff Advisory Group as well as represents Community Services on the Corporate Employee Recognition Team. She joined the Board in May 2011 and is a member of the Human Resources Sub-Committee. Mrs. Austin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brock University.

David Ceglie

David Ceglie is currently the Manager of Specialty Clinics & Revenue Generating Services at Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre. Mr. Ceglie has been a member of the Information Niagara Board of Directors since May 2011 and is the Chair of the Finance Committee and a member of the Quality Assurance & Risk Management Committee. Mr. Ceglie holds a Bachelor of Health Science degree from the University of Western Ontario, a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from D’Youville College, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a dual concentration in Healthcare Administration and Strategic Management from Niagara University. He is a member of the Ontario Hospital Alliance of Assessment Providers Marketing Steering Committee, which includes 8 hospital sites across Ontario, and a Member of the Hotel Dieu Shaver Health & Rehabilitation Centre Accreditation & Development Team. Furthermore, Mr. Ceglie works as a part-time professor of Anatomy with Niagara College’s Continuing Education department.

Zuher “Zeau”  Ismail

Zeau Ismail is currently the Quality & Patient Safety Advisor for the Niagara Health System. Mr. Ismail has been a member of the Information Niagara Board of Directors since May 2011 and is the Chair of the Quality Assurance & Risk Management Committee and a member of the Finance Committee. Mr. Ismail holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Community Health from Brock University, a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from D’Youville College and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a dual concentration in Healthcare Administration and Strategic Management from Niagara University. Mr. Ismail currently sits on the Board of Directors of Community Living – Grimsby, Lincoln and West Lincoln and in April 2011, was inducted into Kappa Gamma Pi (Niagara University Chapter), the National Graduate Honor Society for Catholic Colleges and Universities for Leadership. Mr. Ismail is also an Associate Member of the Canadian College of Health Leaders.

Edwin Leung

Edwin Leung graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2005 and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 2008. He moved to St. Catharines to begin his career at Jones & O’Connell Chartered Accountants as an Audit Supervisor. He has 7 years of professional accounting experiences in performing various financial analyses and assisting clients with annual budgets.  He immigrated to Canada in 1990 and fully understands the difficulties new immigrants face in their daily life (ex. Language).  Skills Edwin brings to the board include: administration, management; finance, accounting; policy development and program evaluation and risk management. Edwin has experience working with many not for profits in his job and has an understanding of the requirements that non-profits face. At University he held many leadership positions in the Chinese Student Association.

Courtney Lilek

Courtney Lilek graduated from McMaster University in 2006 and in 2010 completed her Master’s in Business Management from DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University. Courtney has worked in many health care settings including St Joseph’s Healthcare, Hamilton as a Performance Improvement Consultant. She is presently the Manager of Social Enterprise at Community Living, Hamilton. Skills that Courtney brings to the board include: administration; non-profit experience; program evaluation and risk management; data collection and analysis and business development.

Beverley Saracino

Bev Saracino holds a BA from the  University of Western Ontario. She has held many positions over the years such as Business Development Agent with Allstate Insurance Company to Sales Representative, Century 21 and is presently an Associate Insurance/Financial Advisor, Co-Operators Insurance. Bev is a long-time resident of Niagara, presently living in Welland. She is very familiar with the work of Information Niagara. She is passionate about volunteering and has volunteered with many agencies such as Alzheimer Society, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and a board member with My Friend’s House and VCARS. Skills Bev brings to the board include: administration, management, community relations, fundraising, public relations; policy development and personnel, human relations.
