So you want to run your own volunteer event, but don’t know where to start?

First, ask yourself, what are you passionate about? Are you a sports-lover? How about an athletic equipment drive to benefit under-privileged kids in Niagara? Do you love food? Maybe you want to organize a food drive! Do you care about the environment? Think about a tree planting event! What about poverty reduction? Work with a local organization to raise awareness for their cause!

Everyone has an interest or skill they can use to benefit the community -- you just have to pick one!

Next, you need an organization. Information Niagara can connect you with any organization in the region that you would like to work with -- not sure who to collaborate with? Email us, we can help.

Finally, you need participants! Get posters and flyers from us to post around the school, talk to your friends, family, everyone you know! Get everyone you know to help! Have your friends sign up for your event at www.informationniagara.com/changetheworld.

Remember, the person who gets the most people to participate in the challenge will win some amazing prizes!
